On Thursday, a group of Mavericks traveled to Morningside University to see a children's production of "The Emperor's New Clothes." Our students enjoyed the play, ate lunch in the sunshine, and toured the campus. Thanks to our CCE sponsors who make such trips possible! ❤️
CCE's 3rd-6th graders received a visit from Nathan and ISU's "Water Rocks" program on Wednesday. He shared why wetlands are critical to Iowa's ecosystems. Thanks to Nathan and ISU for helping our students better understand the importance of this amazing type of habitat!

This past Tuesday, Mavericks Create welcomed guest artist, Amber Campbell, who taught our students to crochet. For some, it was their first attempt. For others, it enabled them to expand their skills. Thanks to Mrs. Campbell for her excellent lesson and inexhaustible patience. 💕

We’re off to a fantastic start to the school year, and we’re thrilled to have both students and staff back in the building and moving full speed ahead!
I wanted to take a moment to share an important update with the CC-E community regarding lunch prices. Due to a state-mandated adjustment, lunch prices will increase by $0.10. This means that the rate will change from $2.85 to $2.95. Please understand that this increase is required by the state, and we appreciate your understanding.

Yesterday, CC-E's TAG students traveled to the Humane Society in Milford to learn about animal shelters. Staff members, Amanda and Selena, were kind enough to give our students a tour of their facility. Thanks to these ladies for giving us an amazing overview of the shelter! 💕
