Better late than never! We wanted to finally share some photos from our 5th grade field trip to the Iowa Great Lakes on April 24. The first stop was at the Pearson Lakes art Center (PLAC) where Miss Holly guided our talented students through a chalk pastel art lesson. ✨
Once they completed their beautiful drawings, students were treated to a tour of the many galleries and studios through the facility. 🖼️
After lunch, our group headed to the Dickinson County Nature Center. There we were able to see many of the exhibits and briefly enjoy the gorgeous outdoors before heading back to school. 🐝

This morning grade 3-5 were invited to tour the Parker museum home, and the heritage museum in Spencer. They learned about what life in our area was like back in the early 1900s.
They were also spoiled by our amazing bus driver Mr. Dave with some ice cream!
Friday May 1st the 3rd and 4th graders were able to go and explore the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls. They had a blast exploring the different areas of the zoo, especially the farm where they were able to feed the goats!
A few students and Ms. Hartwig got bracelets to track animals around the world and continue learning more about them.
Hard to think about the start of school in the fall already when school is still going, BUT… now is the time to start scheduling your child’s health screenings so they’re ready for the first day of school!

Maverick Pride!!! CCE's TAG students had the opportunity to shine at NW Iowa's Project Sharing Day at Cutty's in Spirit Lake. Our Mavs were able to talk this morning with 70 other TAG students about their research projects and learn from their peers. The morning was followed up with activities from miniature golf to swimming to arcade games. We are so proud of all of the hard work these kiddos put into their projects and presentations!!! ❤️💛
