Who's hungry? Well…most kids are after school. So it makes perfect sense that our Mavericks Cook Club followed a few simple recipes to satisfy their hunger this week. Students were able to enjoy the breakfast pizza and glazed donut holes they created. Yum, yum, yum!
CCE would like to thank Spencer High School for inviting our students to a special performance of "Footloose" on Wednesday afternoon. Our 2nd-6th graders enjoyed the rousing musical and were excited to see many familiar faces in the cast. The production was a perfect prelude to the Mavericks Theater Club which begins next week over Tuesday's lunch hour. Kudos to the Spencer High School students for sharing their considerable talents with our kiddos! 💕

Local drop-off points have been set up at Home State Bank (Royal) and State Bank (Everly, Peterson, or Spencer) for those wishing to make donations. All funds collected through January 1, 2026 will be dispersed to both families on January 2nd.
If you’d prefer, checks may be made payable to “CCE Fundraiser Account,” with the memo line reading:
“FBO Cundiff and/or Campbell Families.”
You may donate to both families with one check or specify your preference in the memo.

Our Mavericks love to cook! CCE's 3rd-6th grade after-school club tested their culinary skills in the kitchen again this week. We experimented with baking (Monster cookies) and making a snack that did not require cooking (peanut butter pinwheels). Both treats were thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our students are excited to see what will be on the menu next week!!! 😉

Our 3rd and 4th graders had a great time exploring the veteran exhibits and war exhibits at our local museums! Thank you to the Everly Heritage Museum and the Royal Museum. The students learned so much!
