More pictures of the 1st graders wonderful Sioux City field trip day!

Sioux City is full of so much educational fun and our 1st graders took advantage of that during today's field trip!
Students enjoyed the Launchpad Children's Museum, enjoying exploratory hands-on learning disguised as play. They then headed to the Sioux City Public Museum to dig up some "dinos" during their fossil hunt.
So much educational fun was had by all!
Thank you to our friends at the Sioux City Public Museum and Launchpad Children's Museum for making this trip a wonderful one for our Mavericks!

Clay Central Everly is happy to have received two Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) Outreach Grants of $500 each to benefit the CCE students’ snack program and Mav Pack backpack program!
ISEA’s mission is to “promote quality public education by placing students
at the center of everything we do while advocation for education
professionals.”
Members of the CCE community help to assemble and prepare the snacks
and backpacks each week for our students.
Thank you to ISEA for making these funds available to help benefit our students at CCE!

Today is National Lunch Hero Day!
We have two of the best lunch hero ladies around, Kay and Nancy!
The students and staff adore them, not to mention we are daily grateful for their delicious meals and service with a smile!
Thank you for being the best CCE lunch heroes that we could ask for, Kay and Nancy! We love you!

We had the best service learning day today with our amazing 6th graders!
These students truly worked hard the entire day to help four different Everly homeowners with their yard work.
The weather was perfect and the students servant hearts and helping hands truly shined in the work they did today!
The homeowners were incredibly grateful and our students were incredibly thankful that they were able to take a load off of their plate and help some very kind and wonderful community members in our CCE district.
We are so proud of our 6th graders for their servant minded work today!

She told us not to make a big deal, but we had to say something!
On National School Principal Appreciation Day we celebrate our fabulous Mrs. Huntress! She goes above and beyond for our students and their families, always trying to nurture, protect, and guide in the most loving and gentle ways, yet standing firm in our core Leader in Me and CCE values.
She works tirelessly before, during and after hours for our school district and we are just SO beyond grateful for who she is and all she does!
Thank you so much, Mrs. Huntress for making CCE such a warm, inviting, innovative and wonderful place for children to learn and grow, not to mention for our staff to spread their creative and educational wings to teach with passion and grace.

The 2nd and 3rd graders had an amazing time on their field trip to the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls earlier this month! They got to explore many hands on learning experiences, such as biking, digging for fossils, and trying to get a rocket as high as they could. We appreciate all the support from the community and can drive to help our students be able to have these amazing experiences! Proud to be a Maverick!

Some people just give of themselves without pause. They are helpers and doers, going above and beyond for others, using their gifts and strengths to effortlessly bring out the gifts and strengths of those around them.
Our Mrs. Roti does just that.
She hosts the Saturday field trips, because of what the children will gain from the experience. She comes in on her days off to help students complete their TAG projects. She assists other staff members and brings innovative ideas to the table to best serve our school district.
We appreciate her so much and thank her for all that she does for our Mavericks!
THANK YOU, LISA, for being a selfless, kind, motivated and wonderful CCE team member and friend to all.
We appreciate YOU!
