Speaking of meeting PBIS goals, our ENTIRE SCHOOL met their PBIS goal this month and was rewarded with an afternoon at the park! We had the best time enjoying beautiful weather and sharing in the laughter and joy that a beautiful park day can bring! We are SO proud of our AMAZING students and all of their hard work this past school year! They have all grown so much in their leadership skills, responsibility, respectfulness, and overall character! Keep it up, Mavericks! You make us proud!

One of our favorite CCE community members is Royal’s “Grandmother to all,” Shirley Frederick. It is her 89th birthday today, so the whole K-6 program stopped in to say hello and wish her the best birthday ever! We lit up her day, but she has no idea how much she lit up ours! Happy 89th birthday and many blessings, Shirley! Thank you for being our 2023 Homecoming Grand Marshall and one of our favorite Maverick supporters! We love you!

Happy birthday, Shirley!
The CCE Theater Club performed their original Readers Theater script today entitled, "The Quest." While in full costume, students entertained their classmates with the humorous tale. The actors even shared their process by taking questions at the end of the show. Amazing!!!

We are so proud of the CCE Garden Team. This winter, these students created a design for outdoor planters at our school. This week they got to bring their vision to life and put plants in place. Gorgeous! Thanks go out to our Maverick sponsors who helped fund this project!!!

Reminder! You are invited!
Over the last few weeks, if it was nice enough to go outside, the preschoolers were out sprucing up our Nature Learning Center! With help from teachers, they cut down all of the dead plants and helped pick up so that our spring plants can flourish. Way to be great leaders Mavericks!

Cute and happy helpers!
Our Nature Learning Center looks great due to these fabulous helpers!
Thank you for all of your hard work and help, preschoolers!
Preschoolers are great at weeding too!

Our 1st grade crew had the best time!
Dress up fun!
Educational fun!
Who doesn't love water play?
Sioux City is full of so much educational fun and our 1st graders took advantage of that during today's field trip! Students enjoyed the Launchpad Children's Museum, enjoying exploratory hands-on learning disguised as play. They then headed to the Sioux City Public Museum to dig up some "dinos" during their fossil hunt. So much educational fun was had by all! Thank you to our friends at the Sioux City Public Museum and Launchpad Children's Museum for making this trip a wonderful one for our Mavericks!
