Happy Paraprofessional Appreciation Day! Thank you to all our CC-E teaching assistants and support staff who work with our students and teachers day in and day out - we appreciate you! ❤️

Have you heard of all of the community fun going on tomorrow?!
Here are two egg hunts happening tomorrow in our lovely CCE communities!
Maybe we will see you there!

Keeping our Mavericks safe is our number one priority.
Learning the skills and attending the trainings needed in order to prevent injury and act quickly in emergency situations is a key piece to that puzzle.
Our friends from the Spencer Hospital taught a Stop the Bleed class to our staff last week, giving us a wealth of knowledge that we were grateful to receive.
Thank you to our Spencer Hospital friends for keeping our CCE staff trained and Mavericks safe!

Last week's YMCA field trip was such a fun way to learn about classroom sharing, fitness/health routines and to try out a few fun classes while there!
Thank you to the Spencer Family YMCA for a morning of fun!

Today we reminisce about Friday's CCE Fish Fry & Carnival.
-The chatter in the halls.
-The filled lunchroom.
-The gym bursting with joy and excitement.
We are truly blessed to have the BEST support all around us.
THANK YOU for coming out to support our Mavericks!

Wrapped up the last of the athletic clubs
with the littles this past week! It was such a joy to watch the students of all ages grow in their athletic abilities and sportsmanship!

Thank you, CC-E Patrons & Staff, for making our fish fry and carnival a huge success!
We love you!! 💛❤️💛

This year's CC-E Youth Writers kicked off on Tuesday, March 12. Over the past two weeks, the group has experimented with crafting concrete poetry and writing zany "What If...?" fictional stories. We are so excited to see what else our creative Mavericks can pen once we return from Spring Break. Thanks to our CC-E sponsors who make this after-school club and others like it possible. We are ever grateful to you!

CCE’s Elementary Spring Concert will be Tuesday, April 9th at 6:30PM in the CCE Music Room. All students in PK - Grade 6 will sing, as well as a performance by the 5th/6th grade band. We are excited to perform for you! Be sure to come early to get a good seat!!

THIS FRIDAY! The day we've been waiting for is almost here!
We are ready and we can't wait to see you!

The K-6th graders headed to Oneota Park yesterday for a field trip under the stars!
Clay County Conservationist, Bri Blom, kept the children engaged and full of wonder with the ever beautiful and majestic "Star Lab" experience.
Students looked at moon phases, constellations, and the rising and setting of the sun!
Do any of our Maverick families, community members, or former Mavericks remember their trips to Star Lab or to the Cherokee Sanford Museum and Planetarium? It is a trip most will never forget!
Thank you to our Clay County Conservation for bringing such wonderful educational experiences to our Mavericks!
The Annual NW Iowa Choral Directors Association Honor Choir Festival for Grades 5-7 will be held on Tuesday, April 16th at Sioux Center Middle School. This year’s festival will feature approximately 30 schools around NW Iowa.
CCE will be well-represented with 8 talented singers in the 5th & 6th grade choir. This year’s choir will be directed by Brett Gregory from Waukee Community Schools.

CONGRATULATIONS to these talented Mavericks! We know you will represent CCE well!
The kindergarten class enjoyed a guidance lesson on TEAMWORK last week!
We watched a fun Curious George clip on how teamwork can really make a difference in reaching our goals.
We then broke out the bags game and timed ourselves, each trying to make five points alone. We found that this took a long time and was quite hard to reach our goal in a timely fashion, if at all.
However, when we split into teams, we could easily reach our goals within the allotted timeframe and enjoyed doing so as well!
Teamwork really can make the dream work!
Our Mavericks synergize and execute teamwork so well!
Our Mavericks made their PBIS goal for being AMAZING Maverick leaders and as their reward they chose to do a fun "Dress Up as a Teacher/Student Day!" dress up day!
SO MUCH FUN!
To top off their day, they were treated to ice cream before heading home!
Kudos to our Mavericks for being wonderful examples of responsible, respectful and ready leaders!
We are just a week away from our annual Fish Fry on March 22nd!! We will be doing a buffet line from 5 - 7pm AND our carnival will be from 5-6:45pm. You won't want to miss this great meal and fun for the kids!! We hope to see you there!!

CC – E students will enjoy Starlab today at Oneota Park. The event is indoors.
A bus will take all K-3 children at 1 o'clock, and then all 4-6 students at 2 o'clock.
Our Mavericks are kicking off their Spring “Brats and Bulbs” fundraiser, March 1-April 1!
