The 3rd graders had a great time getting to learn about agriculture in the classroom. For their last time they got to make a worm hotel out of gravel, soil, and compost. We now have 4 class pets! Thank you to the BV Farm Bureau for coming into our classroom this year!

Rainy weather did not stop our K-6 Mavericks from enjoying the Wilderness Wednesday yesterday! Different grade level groups combined to study insects in K-2nd and arthropods in 3rd-6th. Creepy crawly fun!
A HUGE SHOUT OUT to these 5th & 6th graders for a FANTASTIC day of singing, collaboration and meeting new friends at NW Iowa 5th & 6th Grade Honor Choir at Sioux Center Middle School.
THANK YOU to all of the parents and staff who attended the concert to support these terrific singers!
The first graders are investigating how birds use their beaks to survive.
THE ELEMENTARY SPRING CONCERT, “Cruisin’ Down Memory Lane - A Flashback to the ‘50s & ‘60s” is Thursday, May 5th at 6:30PM in the CCE Elementary Gym.
All students in K - Grade 6 will perform some of the early Rock & Roll “golden oldies”.
The 5th & 6th Grade Band will also perform!

Congratulations Iris H., Kaeley B., Mackenzie M., Serenity M. (alternate), Abby M., Jada C., Shay T., Lexi J. and Garrett V. (absent when photos was taken) for being selected to sing in the NW Iowa 5th & 6th Grade Honor Choir on Tuesday, April 19th at Sioux Center Middle School. These singers will perform with numerous 5th & 6th graders from NW Iowa. We’re proud of our Maverick singers!
