The Giving Tree Project is well underway! We are collecting non-perishable grocery items until Friday. You can send items with your student, bring the items with you when you come enjoy the Winter Concert tomorrow night, or drop the items off at the office during the school day. The food will be distributed to those in need in our district. Thank you to all who have donated already!

Mavericks Read, CCE’s 5th and 6th grade book club, finished their final chapter in “Because of Winn-Dixie” today!

The second graders enjoyed learning about squirrels today at the Lakeside Lab. They enjoyed working on an art activity, a hike, and lunch. It was a great day! Thank you Mrs. Roti for setting up the day!

On Tuesday, November 2, Ms. Hartwig’s 3rd graders traveled to Iowa Lakeside Lab to study insects. Thanks to Lakeside’s naturalist, Ashley, for teaching us about our six-legged friends!

Miss Warburton helped the second graders plant bulbs and other plants in the Nature Center after a fun science lesson. Everyone had fun in the dirt! One second grader said, “ We all must be caretakers of the Nature Center!”❤️
