Friends and community members, we are looking for your help in stocking our "CCE Holiday Shoppe" for our students to "shop" at during our Parent Teacher Conferences this year.
This is our 2nd year doing this wonderful shop and it truly teaches the children so much about math, budgets, and most importantly about giving!
If you are cleaning out your cupboards or storage areas and see things that you don't need or want anymore, but that are still in great condition, please drop them off in our office with Val and we will add them to our "Holiday Shoppe!"
Or maybe you would like to go to town and buy a few new items for the children to "shop" through, such as dog treats for their puppy or a new scarf for mom, candles, etc. Whatever your heart desires to give, we are grateful!

During Farm Bureau's Farm Safety visit last month, the CCE students were asked to decorate over 75 "Farmer Fuel Bags" to let our local farmers know just how grateful we are for them feeding the world while giving them a little pick-me-up during their long days of harvest.
Our Mavericks rose to the challenge and drew/colored amazing farm-art on every one of the bags, letting the farmers know they truly care.
Students then stopped by local farms and coops to happily hand deliver these tasty treats of thanks. Some "farm students" even brought theirs home to give their parents. Every bag brought cheer to all.

Thank you to Brianne Blom with the Clay Country Conservation Board for bringing our grades K-6 to Bertram park for a field trip full of nature. We learned about all things fall, such as how trees and leaves change, camouflage for animals in the prairie grass, and how to sit and enjoy being in nature. The students had a great time!
Thank you to Brianne Blom with Clay County Conservation for taking us on a hike through Bertram Park. We learned about a ground squirrel, different kinds of leaves, had some awesome views, and took time to be one with nature 🍂🍁🌳
Come one and all to our student-led Veterans Program in the CCE music room on Monday, November 11th from 10:30 to 11:00!
Students, please dress up in patriotic, red, white, and blue on the day of the program.

Our school was filled with the cutest "characters" today for our Red Ribbon Week Character Day!
We've had fall parties in our classrooms, character parades down the hallways, extra yummy treats, and SO much fun with our Mavericks!
Stay safe and PLEASE try to get a bit of rest tonight, Mavericks! We have a K-6 field trip tomorrow that we are excited about!
