Clay Central Everly is so fortunate to have not only one but TWO on-site social workers here for our Mavericks! Ms. Madison and Ms. Anna are always here to bring light, love, and a listening ear! They are undoubtedly a wonderful foundation of support for our precious Mavericks! HAPPY NATIONAL SOCIAL WORKER DAY, ANNA AND MADISON! We are SO grateful for both of you!

Last week our favorite Ag in the Classroom/Farm Bureau friend, Ms. Amy, joined our students for a discussion on micro-greens and pollinators like bees! We love when Ms. Amy visits our school with all of her fun and educational topics!

Today our K-6th graders enjoyed an earned rollerskating outing at Primghar’s skating rink! Students earned this through our PBIS program, by showing that they are kind, considerate, respectful, ready, and responsible Mavericks! We are so proud of our Mavericks and are glad they had a wonderful time skating the afternoon away! Have a great spring break Mavericks!

Preschool had a visitor overnight. Lucky the Leprechaun came early to surprise the kids. They were so excited and wanted to clean and find clues! We built our traps! Hopefully we catch Lucky soon before he makes a bigger mess! 🍀

Today our 3-6th graders enjoyed a well-earned celebration for reaching their Reading Challenge goals! Mrs. Roti always knows what the students will appreciate and a pizza party was just the ticket for these hungry, happy readers! Congratulations to our fantastic Maverick readers! We are proud of you!

Today was delivery day!!! All of our students received their brand new Book Blast books today! Look at those happy faces! Thank you again to our Book Blast fundraiser supporters who made this fundraiser such a fantastic success! We love that each child was given the gift of literacy because of YOU! Happy reading, Mavericks!

Habit 5: “Seek First to Understand Then to be Understood” and focusing first on what’s most “Wildly Important” were the topics of review for today’s Leader In Me assembly and Reader’s Theatre performance! Our Mavericks are fabulous leaders and wonderful at displaying these habits! GO MAVERICKS!

If you have a child who will be 3, 4 or 5 on or before Sept. 15, please come to CCE today between 5-6:00 to sign him or her up for PK or Kdgn for the 25-26 school year. Meet staff, tour rooms & attend an information mtg at 5:30 in the lunchroom.

Mrs. Toft's annual 2-6th grade "Dr. Seuss-themed Book Cover Creating Competition" was so much fun! We had excellent artists, authors, and poets utilize their creativity to make what they thought would be a fun new Dr. Seuss book! The ideas were wonderful and showcased our Maverick's vast array of talents! This year 4 winners were chosen. Henleigh Stephens and Vera Toft tied for 1st place. 2nd place went to Mason Cummings and 3rd place was awarded to Brynnleigh Anderson! Each winner won a pass to the Spencer Aquatic Center, thanks to our fantastic friends at Spencer City Hall! Thank you to these friends for such great prizes for our deserving Mavericks! GO MAVERICKS!

Save the date! Tuesday, April 8th is the date for the CCE Spring Concert! We hope you will join us for an evening of great music performed by great kids!

What’s more rad than these daughters and dads?! I mean look at this crew?! This year’s Daddy Daughter Dance was rockin’ with some sweet styles and stellar dance moves! Hap was filled with joy, laughter and so many fabulous daddy daughter duos! It was so much fun to see each of you making precious memories today with your littles! Thank you to all who came out to enjoy! We love hosting you!
